CEFROHT Seeks EALA Partnership to Advance Agroecology in East Africa

Arusha, Tanzania – The Center for Food and Adequate Living Rights (CEFROHT), a nonprofit organization dedicated to sustainable agriculture, has formally requested a partnership with the East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) to promote agroecology across the region.

In an official letter addressed to the Rt. Hon. Speaker of EALA, CEFROHT expressed its intent to collaborate closely with the Assembly’s Committee on Agriculture, Tourism, and Natural Resources (ATNR). The organization emphasized agroecology as a key solution to realizing the right to food and adequate living standards in the East African Community (EAC).

“We beseech you to allow us to forge a partnership with EALA,” read the letter, signed by Dr. Kabanab David (PhD), Executive Director of CEFROHT. “Our mission aligns with the Assembly’s mandate to advance policies that ensure ecological sustainability and food security.”
