Kiddu Gonzaga is a founding member and the current Director of Quality Assurance at CEFROHT. As a seasoned food rights expert and agribusiness specialist, he brings over seven years of experience in the East African region.

His expertise lies in analyzing international, continental, and regional human rights instruments related to food and nutrition, ensuring their alignment with national legal and policy frameworks.

With more than 15 years in project and grants management, Kiddu has established himself as a skilled legal and policy analyst, specializing in good governance, monitoring and evaluation, and institutional strengthening. His research primarily explores the right to adequate food and the economic rights of vulnerable groups, employing a human rights-based approach to drive equitable solutions.

His work extends to sustainable natural resource governance, where he addresses critical issues such as land, water, biodiversity, and climate change. Through technical and legal advocacy, he supports agri-food systems, promoting sustainable agriculture and secure land rights.

Kiddu is an active participant in key national and global platforms, including the CFS Voluntary Guidelines working group, the Global Right to Food and Nutrition Network, and technical committees under Uganda’s Ministries of Health and Agriculture.

He also contributes to various coalitions and consortia advocating for food safety, agroecology, non-communicable disease (NCD) prevention, and environmental protection. Guided by the FAO-PANTHER principles, his efforts emphasize inclusiveness, equity, fairness, and social justice in policy and practice.
