EALA Invites CEFROHT to Present on Agroecology and Living Rights

EAST AFRICA: The East African Legislative Assembly (EALA) has formally invited the Centre for Food and Adequate Living Rights (CEFROHT) to present its work on agroecology and the right to food. The invitation, dated October 22, 2024, references a prior consultative meeting held on October 19 between EALA officials and CEFROHT.

In the letter, EALA Clerk John N. Mutega stated, “We are writing to formally invite your officials to a meeting with the Committee on Agriculture, Tourism, and Natural Resources (ATNR) on Thursday, 29th October 2024, at 2:30 pm in Committee Room 413, North Wing, Parliament of Uganda.”

CEFROHT was asked to liaise with Wilkins-Aldred and submit a list of attendees by October 25. The meeting aligns with EALA’s approved program for its standing committees.
